A place for our town to grow community and see God in every part of their experience.
This dream started a while back while working in the counseling center. We were brainstorming how to reach all the women who we knew were struggling with so many hard things, but did not feel comfortable opening up. Trying to find common ground with them, we dreamt of a coffee shop where people are drawn in and find a place of peace. A place where they are welcomed, taken care of and filled before they leave! We know that hospitality goes so far in reaching people. But not only filled physically but also spiritually. A place where discipleship, small groups, classes and worship nights can happen. A place where different denominations can come together and everyone is welcome, even (especially) non-believers too!
Our hope and prayer is that this place will be overflowing with peace, love and show the character of Jesus in different ways. We desire that people leave differently than the entered. And every single detail shows people God.

After working for a few years creating an Etsy shop with some friends here in the DR, we realized all the hard work that goes into a small business here. And the reality of how hard it is to find a place to sell your items at! We desire to provide the opportunity for other small shops to rent out space in our coffee shop. Our heart would be that other small businesses would thrive alongside us by not only providing shelf space but through providing business workshops and learning opportunities in this space.

Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of doing counseling and hosting small groups with women in our community. We have seen an endless need for this and know that the coffee shop will be the perfect window of opportunity to bring people in and build trust with our community with the hopes of providing counseling when the situation is needed!

We desire to not only provide jobs for our staff, but to create a space where they grow not only professionally but also grow in their faith and maturity.
